Nemitz, David Allen - Age 74, of Flint Township, died May 1, 2022 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 7 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. (A livestream of the service will be available to view at David's page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Friday and 10 AM Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Hospice.
David was born August 16, 1947 in Flint, the son of Albert William and Virginia B. (Nash) Nemitz. He married Jane Kreiner on July 4, 1981 in Fenton. David was raised in Flint. He was a graduate of Flint Northwestern. David worked for General Motors before retiring with 30 years of service. He was also a member of U.A.W Local 659. David enjoyed canoeing, camping, swimming with his boys, motorcycling with his friends, running the Crim Race for 43 years. He also enjoyed training for the Crim. David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jane; 3 sons, Jeffery (Tammy) of Macon, GA, Jason (Jennifer) of Durand, Jacob of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Shelby (Dustin), Michilah (fiance Tyler), Julia, and Joselynn; 2 great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Elizabeth "Doozie"; brother, Ken (Lynn); several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Virginia Nemitz. sisters, Ann Marie, Eva Lou, Beverly; and brother, Albert.
