ALLEN, John Lee Sr. – of Clio, age 67, died Monday, August 17, 2020 at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the Montrose Family Worship Center in Montrose, Michigan. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. The family will receive visitors on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Montrose Family Worship Center. Memorial contributions can be made to Travis Mills Foundation.
John was born June 19, 1953 in Flint, Michigan to the late Richard and Ival (Stickney) Allen. He grew up in Montrose, Michigan and graduated from Montrose High School with the class of 1972. John served his country in the US Navy on the USS Iwo Jima as a Fire Fighter from 1972 to 1975. Prior to his retirement in 1998, John worked for GM on the assembly line at Buick City with 22 years of service. John enjoyed hunting, football, and bull riding in his younger years. He was a great dad and will be missed by his sons.
Surviving are: Children, Richard Allen, John (Tammy) Allen Jr., Jason (Holly) Allen, David Clark; Grandchildren, Isabella Allen, Roman Allen, Timothy Allen, Gabe Allen, Allie Allen, Joshua Hill, Justin Campbell, Adam Campbell, Bethany Campbell, Jameson Campbell; Great – Grandchildren, Jackson Campbell, Finley Campbell, Reed Campbell; Mother of his children, Katherine Allen; Siblings, Tom and Kim; 3 Nephews.
