Bloss, Elaine – of Clio, age 79, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2026, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Friday October 23, 2026, at Real Life Church - 214 N Saginaw St, Montrose, MI. Pastor Tim Hobson to officiate, burial to follow the luncheon in Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 1PM until 8PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, and at church from 10AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesee County Mental Health.
Elaine was born on October 27, 1946, in Fargo, North Dakota to the late Arnold and Wanda (Hams) Peterson. She attended Flint Northern High School, graduating with the class of 1964. On June 3, 1972, she married Dennis Bloss, and together they shared a beautiful life of 54 years, filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Elaine worked for General Motors for 15 years. She was a woman of strong faith and a longtime member of Clio Community Church of God.
Elaine enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, whether it was a good game of euchre or camping at Higgins Lake and Mackinac Island, with her family. She loved traveling, especially visiting family in Nevada and Arizona, and treasured the many trips she shared with her husband through General Motors. Above all, Elaine's greatest joy was her family. She had a special love for bringing everyone together, especially during the holidays, and took great pride in hosting family gatherings filled with love, laughter, and wonderful memories. Elaine had a way of making time spent together feel special, and those moments will forever be treasured by the ones she loved. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Elaine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Surviving are: Loving husband, Dennis Bloss; Children: Dwight (Dawn) Bloss, James (Christy) Bloss, Andrew (Holly) Bloss and Andrea (Thomas) Worthing; she was blessed with 13 grandchildren: Lauralynn, Samantha, Heather, Robert, Cody, Drew, Devin, Joseph, Cole, Chase, Caleb, Jackson and Brayden; 6 Great grandchildren; Sister, Arlette Brown; Mother-In-Law, Mary Bloss; Many loving friends and extended family. She is preceded in passing by her parents: Arnold and Wanda (Hams) Peterson; Sister, Arlinda Campbell; Father-In-Law, Kenneth Bloss.
