MCCOMBS, BEVERLY “SHARI” - Of Burton, age 86, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Great Lakes Bible Church, 16222 Falk Road, Holly, MI 48442, Pastor Aaron Whitman officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the music program at Faith Baptist School in Davison, MI.
Visitation 10:00a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the church.
Shari was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 20, 1936 the daughter of the late Joseph and Adeline (Standifer) Wood.
Shari began playing the piano at age 5. She graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri in 1957, with a degree in music. She was a teacher and taught piano for over 20 years, along with teaching first grade, high school English, typing, and shorthand. She was also the high school secretary. She played the piano for over 60 years at various churches where she and her husband worked. She loved being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are children, Vicki (Jim) Slayton and Keith (Nadine) McCombs;
grandchildren, Chrissy Fuller, Cortney (Paul) Vanaman, and Robert (Hannah) Slayton;
great-grandchildren, Maddie Fuller, Lyla Vanaman and Cody Vanaman;
brother, Ron (Stacy) Wood and sister, Kathy (Bill) Warwick.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald McCombs.
