Delrel Eric Laur, 64, a lifetime resident of Elba Township, Lapeer County passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
He was born on October 30, 1957, to Dorland Eric Laur and Rencie Elaine Laur (fun fact: his name is his parents initials). He graduated from Lapeer High School, he liked playing sports. He graduated in 1976. Del retired from General Motors. Del enjoyed farming, hunting, and playing Keno. He was Lucky. His most treasures times were playing and spoiling his grandchildren. He went by PaPa Chicken. He was known to be Happy Go Lucky Jokester. He had a kind heart.
Del is survived by his son, Cody (Kim) Laur. His grandchildren Bentley, Westley, Wyatt, and Cody Jr., Georgena (Denny) Qualls, sister, and Mark Laur, brother, preceded in death by his sister, Barteen Kozlow, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Del was cremated. Memorial on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 4 pm at Cascadens, 4099 S. Lapeer Road, Metamora, MI. Cody was requesting to bring a dish to pass and share memories of Del. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville. Memorial contributions in memory of Del may be made to the family.
