CAPUCHINA, Esperanza – Of Flint, age 79, died Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Heartland Healthcare Center-Briarwood.
Private services will be held. Cremation has taken place.
Esperanza was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on August 1, 1940, the daughter of Pedro and Manuela (Martinez) Barrera.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and later, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison.
She was always very cheerful and jolly. She loved to help others, despite her own struggles and was very social.
Esperanza belonged to the TOPS, KOPS and the Red Hat Society.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Surviving are children, Jose (Caroline) Capuchina,
Margarita (Rick Urbina) Capuchina and
Alicia (Brian Bradshaw) Capuchina-Zelinski;
grandchildren, Angela Capuchina, David Capuchina, Kristiano Capuchina and Nick Zelinski;
siblings, Mary Louise Elizondo, Raymond Delgado, Peter Barrera, Ernie Barrera and Daniel Barrera.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Tony Delgado and Celia Guerra.
