WILLIAMS, Lester Wade Jr. age 75, departed from this life Friday, May 2, 2025.
Funeral service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Tuesday, May 13 at 11 am with Honors. Pastor Steve Wood Officiating.
Lester Wade Williams Jr. was born on December 12, 1949, to the union of the late Lester Williams Sr and the late Willie Alma Williams in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Lester Williams Jr. attended Ben Franklin High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He played football for the Cole Vikings and throughout his life was known for being a man that was resilient, strong, and wise, while also showing humility. Lester enlisted in the Navy in 1968 where he became a true sailor serving his country during the Vietnam War receiving an honorable discharge. Lester was employed at General Motors Truck and Bus in Flint, Michigan for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Williams Sr, his mother, Willie Alma Williams, his brother, Richard Williams, his other brother, Michael Williams, Joel Williams, and his sister, Bessie Williams.
Lester leaves to cherish his memory; two daughters, Faleashia Williams and Niki Williams; three sons; Christopher Lakecia Williams, Kamal Tivia Williams, Ellaye Richard Williams; twelve grandchildren; Demarius Williams Sr, Krystal Rawls, Ariana Williams, Alyvia Williams, Talynn Keyes, Deonta Eubanks, Endyia Eubanks, Alyssa Williams, Keenan Williams, Adrian Williams, Seya Williams, Deandre Williams, Demarco Williams; five great grandchildren; Noelle Richardson, Demarius Williams Jr, Summer Williams, Wynter Williams, Charles Taylor.
