HICKS, William Harold – Of Flint, age 81, died Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Hurley Medical Center.
Visitation 11am Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the funeral home. Reverend Timothy Hicks officiating.
William was born in Jemison, Alabama on July 18, 1939, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Davis) Hicks. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint for many years. He had a passion for landscaping and loved all sports. Above all else, he loved being with his family and friends.
Surviving are wife, Dorothy;
daughter, Angela Hicks;
son, William Anthony Hicks;
step-daughters, Monica Stocker and Lisa Johnson;
many grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
brother, Joshua (Frances) Hicks;
sisters, Odessa Martin and Ruth Malone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Reverend Ollis Hicks, Samuel Hicks and Joe Curtis Hicks; sisters, Lillie Mae White, Zenobia Sanders and Survannah Harper.
