Hiltz, Bob – of Clio, age 87, died Monday, October 31, 2022, at My Michigan Medical Center of Midland. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery to follow. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 11AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sons of American Legion in Sanford.
Bob was born July 6, 1935, in Mt. Morris, Michigan to the late Gordon and Hazel (Hall) Hiltz. He married Berneice in 1955, she preceded him in passing in 2005. Bob then married Leona in 2007, they were able to share 15 wonderful years together. He worked for General Motors for 30 years as a forklift driver and assembly worker. Bob enjoyed golfing, bowling, and hunting. His real love was fishing and being out on the water. Above all he loved his family. He was a great husband, dad and grandpa who will be missed by many.
Surviving are: Wife of 15 years, Leona Hiltz, Sons: Robert (Christi) Hiltz, Gary (Denita) Hiltz, Darrel (Shelly) Hiltz; Stepson’s: Gary Swift, Steve Swift, and Chuck Swift; Grandchildren: Anthony Hiltz, Matthew Hiltz, Gary Hiltz, Cheyanne Hiltz, Nicholas Hiltz, Jenna Hiltz, Holly Hiltz, Brittany Ceaser, along with many extended grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and one on the way. He is preceded in death by his late wife, Berneice Hiltz; Father, Gordon Hiltz; Mother, Hazel Pausits; Stepfather, Steven Pausits; Son, Dennis Hiltz, and Brothers Bud and Richard Hiltz. |
