Ms. Gladys Dean Thedford was born May 22,1953 in Bessemer, Alabama, the daughter of Mr. Andrew Jr. and Mrs. Addie B. Thedford.
Gladys was baptized at New Bethlehem Church and attended Abrams High School in Bessemer, Alabama. She moved to DC in 1962. She then relocated to Flint, Michigan in 1973. She gained employment with General Motors in 1976 and retired after 22 years of service and was a member of UAW Local 598.
Gladys loved spending time with her family and friends. She also cherished her dog Ocyruss. Gladys enjoyed watching football and basketball and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Ms. Gladys Thedford leaves to cherish here memory: 2 daughters, Linda (Bean) Blackmon and Yvette Morgan; son, Kenneth (Shirl) Lucas; 2 grandsons, Albert and Dee; brother, Andrew Thedford III; sister, Patricia (Willie) Kelly; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Brenda Williams, Iretha (Johnny) Walker, Eddie B. Lucas, and Angelque David.
Ms. Gladys Dean Thedford was preceded in death by: grandson, Eric Morgan; parents, Andrew Jr. and Addie B. Thedford; 2 brothers, Ronny and Ralph Thedford; sister, Shirley (Willie) Caver; and her beloved fur babies, Snowball and Jock.
