O’BRIEN, Paul – of Davison, age 86, passed away March 29, 2021 at his residence. Cremation has taken place and a private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Paul was born in Flint, MI on July 13, 1934, son of the late James and Francis (Flavin) O’Brien. He married Joann Shumaker. Paul enjoyed going to Florida, golfing and gardening. He loved to sing, dance and was a talented artist. Paul traveled all over the world and hosted 13 foreign exchange students. He was an Engineer for GM before retiring in 1991 after 38 years of service.
Paul is survived by his children, Paula (Dale) Rouse, John (Catherine) O’Brien, Mary (Thomas) Trent, Bradley O’Brien and Michelle (Ted) Ruhstorfer; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Suzie Sersaw. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Shumaker; brother, Michael (Frances) O’Brien; sister, Frances (Irving) Rasmussan; brother-in-law, Bill Sersaw and great-grandson, Andrew Bradley.
