CARDINAL, Theodore Francis – of Montrose, age 83, died Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital of Grand Blanc. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, Michigan. Pastor Aaron Frey officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Ted was born May 9, 1938 in Flint, Michigan to the late Francis and Marie (Cartier) Cardinal. He grew up in Montrose and attended Montrose Schools. He served his country in the US Marine Corp. On June 8, 1963 he married Catherine Blystone. Prior to his retirement, Ted worked for GM on the line with 30 years of service. He was a member of the UAW Local 659. Ted enjoyed working on Ford cars, going to car shows and swap meets.
Surviving are: Wife of 58 years, Catherine Cardinal; children, Kenneth Cardinal, Doug (Debbie) Cardinal; Grandchildren, Kenneth Cardinal, Diana (Jacob) McKay; Great grandchildren, Abel McKay, Isabella McKay,
Adalynn Cardinal, Abella Cardinal, Gavin Burnside, Justin Cardinal; sister, Rosemary Wolff; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Granddaughter, Megan Ward. Please sign our guestbook or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
