BEXTON, Marcus V. "Red" - Of Flint, age 76, passed away
Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Brad Lake officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Visitation 4-8pm Wednesday and 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Marcus was born in Tifton, Georgia on July 20, 1938, the son of the late Fred and Maude Lee (Conger) Bexton. On August 23, 1958 he married Irene Schlosser in Flint and she preceded him in death on February 27, 2010. Marcus worked at Chevrolet V8 Plant for 30 years and then worked at Grand Blanc Motor Cars. He loves John Deere Tractors and his truck. He also loved Blue Grass music.
Surviving are children, Mary and Jimmie Bostic, Brenda and Jeffery Abeare, Marcus and Louann, and John and Michelle, all of Flint;
14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren;
brother, Harold (Kathy) Bexton;
and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Ally and sister Freddie Lee.
