GRIMES, Theresa "Terry" - Age 85, of Swartz Creek, passed away February 10, 2022. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Saturday, February 26, 2022 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 10AM until the time of service. A celebration of her life will follow the Mass at The Draft in Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Fr. Solanus Casey Center. Terry was born October 8, 1936 on Long Island, NY, the daughter of James and Mary (Flaherty) Martin. She married Elbert Edward "Bud" Grimes on May 21, 1956 in New York. Terry enjoyed going to casinos and spending time at the ocean with her family. She adored her grandchildren, seldom missing a sporting event and was over the moon about being a great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of nearly 66 years, Bud; children, Michael E. Grimes, Diane (Peter) Otten and John A. (Michelle) Grimes; grandchildren, Ashley (Lee) Gotch, Megan (Nick Jewell) Grimes, Jessica and Jenna Otten, Shaun and Brendan Grimes; great-grandchildren, Emma and Ellery Jewell; sister, Helen Wimmer; nephew, John (Catherine) Wimmer; several great-nephews.
