Alfred Erich Neuffer, age 59, passed at his residence in Grand Blanc on Monday August 16, 2021.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2021 and 1 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Erich was born an identical twin in Detroit to Alfred and Maureen Neuffer. He graduated from the University of Michigan - Flint with honors in computer science. Erich was a consummate professional in everything he did. First employed by a high tech company out of Farmington Hills, he left to work with his brother at Bit by Bit Computing, Inc. of Flint Township. An expert in data encryption and computer security, he was often found working late hours researching the latest trends. Erich was also an expert in wireless technology and helped construct one of Genesee County's first wireless broadband networks over 20 years ago that still operates today. Erich will be sadly missed by all that knew him and is survived by his brother Greg, sister in law Carolyn, aunt Joyce Radgens, cousins Warren, Paula and Kathy. Erich was predeceased by his parents. Swartz Funeral Home will be handing services which will be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations to the local humane society are encouraged.
