West, Steven J., Sr. – of Clio, age 75, died Thursday, November 11, 2021, at his residence. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
Steven was born October 20, 1946, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Earl and June (Judd) West. He was a Vietnam War, U.S. Air Force veteran. Steven married Donna Hetzer on July 25, 1969. He was employed by Fisher Body and Buick, retiring with 44 years of service. He was very active with local auto racing and loved spending time with his family. Steven was also a devout man of faith.
Surviving are Wife, Donna; 5 children: Steve West (Jim Atwood), Kristi (Dan) Lee, Kerri (Mike) Walther, Sara Olsen (Nate Fisher), Laura (Ryan) Caldwell; grandchildren, Daniel, John, Kortnie, Joshua, Little Mike (Jessica), Wyatt, Lane, Molly, Christopher, Emily; 3 great-grandchildren, and 2 on the way; 3 sisters: Kim Dues, Shelly Reid, Tammy (Gary) Chadwell; Brothers-in-law: Danny Hetzer, Fred Hetzer, and George Hetzer; Several nieces and nephews; Steven was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kerrie Michelle Lee, In-laws, George and Minnie Hetzer, and brother, Dennis West.
