CARDINAL-SMITH, Vivian Lucille – Of Flint, age 101, died Saturday, December 4, 2021
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Carol Blair-Bouse officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
Visitation 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Vivian was born in Ionia, Michigan on August 13, 1920 the daughter of the late Weldon and Augusta (Klimmek) Cullimore and was a resident of the Flint area since 1939.
She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Cardinal Smith was employed by the Carman-Ainsworth School District, retiring in 1987.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Jacquelyn and husband Larry Beckley of Swartz Creek, Carolyn and husband Tim Hysell of Flint;
6 grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren;
7 great-great-grandchildren;
sister, Barbara Lawrence of Flushing; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Cardinal; second husband, Willard Smith; son, John Cardinal Jr.; sister, Donna Richter
and brother, William Richter.
