BAILEY, LILLIAN VIOLA – Of Flint, age 96, died Thursday, October 27, 2022 at her residence.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI.
In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made at the Genesee County Humane Society.
Visitation 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Lillian was born in Bay City, Michigan on May 6, 1926, the daughter of Frank and Florence King.
Mrs. Bailey retired from GM after 30 years of service.
She loved quilting, weaving, knitting, golfing, boating, learning to fly with her husband, Bill and raising sheep.
She supported many animal associations and strongly believed in animal rescue. At one point she raised 6 dogs together. All of which were rescued from the pound.
She loved spending time in Florida even though she said it was too hot. She spent a lot of time enjoying her grandchildren.
Surviving are daughter, Virginia (Loren) Crandall;
grandchildren, Rick (Char), Jody (Wayne), Mike (Chrissy), Darci (Tim), David (Tracy) and Kelly (Matt);
many great-grandchildren.
