ROY, Dennis Patrick – of Flushing, age 71, died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at home with his family by his side. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio, Michigan. Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio, Michigan. Memorial contributions can be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.
Dennis was born July 5, 1949 in Flushing, Michigan to the late Edward and Dovie (Masters) Roy. He grew up in Flushing, Michigan and graduated from Flushing High School with the class of 1967. On August 6, 1995 he married Joretta Jamnick in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to his retirement in 2012, Dennis worked for Swartz Creek Public Schools as a Mechanic with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church and the Flushing Moose Lodge # 1437. Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, car shows, and rebuilding old cars and trucks. However, the most important thing in life for Dennis was his faith and his family.
Surviving are: Wife of 25 years, Joretta Roy; Children, Kimberly (Rick) Goodfellow, Dawn (Kenny) Joslin, Nicole Roy, Ben Staley, Nicholas (Corrie) Staley; 18 Grandchildren; 10 Great – Grandchildren; Siblings, Wilma Partridge, Delta (Paul) Bolanowiski, Delbert (Lynne) Roy, Bonnie (Joe) Fisher; several nieces and nephews.
