GIRARD (HEWITT), Billie Jean – Of Standish, age 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Wellbridge of Grand Blanc, with family by her side.
Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Billie Jean was born in Flint, Michigan on October 26, 1940, the daughter of Donald and Naomi (Howard) Hewitt.
Billie married Mike Girard on February 14, 1984.
Billie was an avid Dallas Cowboy football fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling and shooting pool.
Billie is survived by her husband, Mike;
children, Terri Helmer, Robert French, Jr., Cris French and Viki (Joseph) Henry;
grandchildren, Joseph, Lexi and Trevor Henry and Tyler French;
great-granddaughter, Lily Arwood;
brother, James (Carole) Maine; sisters, Marcia Anderson and Patty (Rodney) Schoals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Hewitt and Naomi Richards; brother, David Hewitt; sister, Marion Hughes and granddaughter, Krista Kurtz.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Wellbridge of Grand Blanc and Compassus Hospice.
