BETAKAS, Katrina L. (Sokolowski) – of Flint, age 53, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 at Hurley Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 6 PM Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Timothy Hicks officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County, in Katrina’s memory.
Katrina was born in Flint, MI on June 22, 1970, daughter of David Sokolowski and Claudia (Danny) Kodat. She graduated from Bentley High School in 1988. Following high school, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University. Katrina had a passion for all animals, especially her family pets and horses. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. Katrina will be missed by all.
Katrina is survived by her father, David Sokolowski; mother, Claudia (Danny) Kodat; siblings, Alina Sokolowski, Matthew Sokolowski, and Jason (Mia) Kodat; special friend, Bryon Humphrey; and many other loving family members and friends.
