STOUTENBERG, Phyllis – of Davison, age 82, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at her residence. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Friday, March 4, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until the time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, in Phyllis’ memory.
Phyllis was born in Flint, Michigan on July 14, 1939, daughter of the late Edgar and Carrie McCumber. She retired from General Motors in 1998 after 32 years of service. Phyllis earned a Master’s Degree from The University of Michigan. She worked for 25 years as a massage therapist at The Relaxation Station in Davison. Phyllis enjoyed traveling and being on the water in the pontoon. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family and grandkids.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Tim) O’Leary; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas (Tina) Moyer, Jill (Cory) Powell, Jamie (William) Taylor and Chad (Sara) Powell; 4 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Moyer, Christopher Bell, Ava Bell, Kailynn Taylor and Carson Powell; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by son, Mark Stoutenberg; daughter, Deanna Powell.
