Dennis Luane Gamble, 84, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, Michigan.
Dennis was born on March 9, 1942. He graduated from Birch Run High School, where he met the love of his life, Wanda Reed. Dennis and Wanda shared a beautiful marriage of 64 years, building a life centered on family and countless cherished memories. Dennis dedicated 30 years of service to General Motors, where he was affectionately given the nickname, "Whitey". After retiring, he continued doing what he loved by starting his own construction company, Gamble Custom Homes, where he built quality homes and lasting relationships throughout the community.
Dennis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Gamble; his children, Rae Ann (John) O'Mara and William Gamble; his grandchildren, Megan (Jim) Kelly, Matthew O'Mara, and Morgan (Branden) Pearson; and his eight great-grandchildren: James, John, Mackenzie, Micky, Isla, Mazie, Hadley, and Wyatt. Dennis had a passion for fishing, a love of classic cars, and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a game of cards, dominoes, or checkers with family and friends. His loud, contagious laugh brought joy to everyone around him. His favorite time of year was the Fourth of July, when the entire family gathered at the family cabin in Cheboygan. Those celebrations were filled with boating, fishing, evenings around the campfire, and the laughter of generations together. Those moments became some of the family's most treasured memories and reflected what Dennis valued most—time spent with the people he loved. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ethel Gamble, and his sister, Karen Curtis. The family extends a special Thank-you to Missy his "favorite Niece" for her time, love and dedication. |
