HERRIMAN, Cecil Carl – of Flint, MI, age 70, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Cecil’s Life will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County, in Cecil’s memory.
Cecil was born in Flint, MI on September 14, 1951, son of the late Donald and Marjorie (Isom) Herriman. He married Cleo “Sparkie” Bruzewski on August 12, 2000 in Flint, MI. Cecil retired from Pepsi Bottling Company in 2008 after 33 years of service. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, NASCAR, Budweiser and being outdoors. Cecil fed and cared for stray animals in his neighborhood and was called the “cat whisperer”. He took pride in his home and lawn and was always moving when he wasn’t sleeping.
Cecil is survived by his wife, Sparkie Herriman; 3 sons, Kurt (Gail) Herriman of Alpena, MI, Bert Herriman of Alpena, MI and Brent (Laura) Herriman of Charlevoix, MI; 5 step-daughters, Tina (Kevin) Bernard of Gladwin, MI, Tonya Catizone of Swartz Creek, MI, Tammy (Jim Sr.) Mowl of Owosso, MI, Tenia (Bill) Lasinskas of Roseville, MI and Brenda (Lance) Pruett of Rochester, MI; 15 grandchildren, Jakeb, Koartnie, Elijah, Brittany, Maddie, Christopher, Chrisita (John), Casey (Mike), Elizabeth, Jestin (Amanda), Ashley (Jason), James (Kayla), Andrea, Tylor (Judah), Dominic and Jonny; 6 great-grandchildren, Kamari, Trenton, Rielynn, Harrison, Lennon and Lux; 4 siblings, Billie Jo (Jim) Gardella of Lapeer, MI, Don (Bob) Herriman of Villa, NJ, Melody (Pat) McCarron of Flushing, MI and Becky (Roy) Morgan of PA; many other loving family members, dear friends and neighbors, Scott Brasfield and Lowell Swartz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marjorie Herriman; sister, Tiny Belinda and brother, Anthony “Tony” Herriman.
