GILBERTSON, Rose Ann. – of Lachine, formerly of Clio, age 69, died on Sunday, November 1, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Alan Kollien officiating. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1PM until 8PM and Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation, or the charity of one’s choice.
Rose was born July 9, 1951 in Flint, Michigan to the late Delbert and Ruth (Mahany) Thompson. She graduated from Clio High School in 1969. Rose married Dennis Gilbertson on September 20, 1969. He preceded her in death June 9, 2019. She worked as a carrier for the United States Postal Service for many years. Rose enjoyed quilting, crocheting, woodworking, cooking, and canning. Above all, Rose loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Daughters: Brenda Perryman (Fiancé, Walt Kilbride), and Deanna (Scott) Kollien; Son, Dennis Gilbertson; Grandchildren: Matthew (Amanda) Gilbertson, Brianna Perryman, Dylan Kollien, and Marissa Kollien; Great grandchildren: Braylon Gilbertson, and Trevor Gleghorn; Siblings: Carl (Marie) Thompson, John (Rose) Thompson, Paul Thompson, Delbert (Karen) Thompson, Debra Haulotte, and Judy Kerperien. Rose was also preceded in death by: Grandson, Trevor Perryman in 2011; Son in law, Brien Perryman in 2017; Brother, Duane Thompson.
