Susie Marie Woletz, age 94 of Lennon, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility in Corunna and has gone to Heaven to be with God. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel with Pastor Joshua Timlick officiating. Mrs. Woletz's family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Susie was born August 19, 1919 in Mayville, Michigan to Tom and Anna (Thayer) Johnson. She was a resident of Lennon for over 60 years. Susie was a homemaker, Cub Scout Den Mother, correspondent for the Owosso Argus Press, a Daughter of the American Revolution member, and a caretaker for elders in their homes. She attended local churches and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Gaines, Michigan.
Susie is survived by her 3 children: Richard (Marcia) Harris of Lennon, James (Patricia) Harris of Palo Alto, California, Carolyn (Jeff) Timlick of Kansas City, Missouri; 7 grandchildren: Scott (Julie) Harris, Michelle (Daniel Mayher) Harris, Steven (Nichole) Woletz, Timothy (Katie) Woletz, Jeremiah (Jennifer) Timlick, Joshua (Erin) Timlick, Benjamin (Laura) Timlick and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Woletz of Elgin, Illinois.
