BADER, Norman L. – Of age 87, died Monday, February 14, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Private funeral service was held.
Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
Norman was born in Flint, Michigan on September 2, 1934, the son of the late Peter Paul and Ruby Arlene (Nickerson) Bader. He lived in Flint from 1954-1993, then resided in Grand Blanc from 1992-2020 and then Flushing from 2020 until present. On April 16, 1955 he married Donna Young in Flint and they were married 49 years. She preceded him in death on October 2 2004. Norman attended Flint Junior College from 1959-61. He worked at General Motors for 35 years, retiring in 1990. Norman loved music, travel, his dog Buddy, casinos, karaoke, dancing and telling jokes. He had a great sense of humor and was a news hound and sports enthusiast. Norman spent the last few wonderful years of his life with his fiancee, Vi, her family and loved one’s and friends.
Surviving are children, Michael (Laura) Bader of Montgomery, TX,
Cheryl Bader (Randy Weaver) of Mesick, MI, David (Jennifer) Bader of Goodrich, MI, and Robert Bader of Flushing, MI;
9 grandchildren;
4 great-grandchildren;
Fiancee, Violet Poe of Flushing;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers and their spouses, Paul (Larri) Bader and Donald (Tedra) Bader.
