LARSON, Richard Oliver – of Davison, age 72, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass, with military honors, will be celebrated 12 Noon Saturday, January 22, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski celebrant. The family will receive visitors the hour prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, in Richard’s memory.

Richard was born in Flint on April 22, 1949, son of the late Oliver & Harriet (Miller) Larson. He married Rita (Haughton) on January 10, 1969. Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from April 1969 thru April 1971. He was retired from the City of Flint Traffic Engineering Department as an electrician. He enjoyed getting up early every morning to go have coffee with his buddies. He enjoyed golf, spending time with family and his granddogs.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Rita; children, Lori Mochty, Lindsay Measle; grandchildren, Jordan, Kaelyn, Madyson, McKenzie, Samara, and Aiden; great granddaughter Kimberly; siblings, Michael (Lynn); sisters-in law, Mary Berent and Pattie Coolich and many other nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Harriet; daughter, Kimberly Larson; son-in-law, Ryan Measle; brother, Jon Larson; and brother-in-law, Thomas Berent.
