Donna Marie Leach, age 92, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in St. Augustine, Florida.
She was born on April 30, 1933, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Chester and Ethel (Wilcox) Miller. She graduated from Clio High School in Clio, Michigan, in 1951.
In 1953, Donna married James Leach in Angola, Indiana.
Donna was deeply involved in Job’s Daughters International for many years, serving as Bethel Guardian of Mt. Morris and later as Grand Guardian of Michigan. She was a beloved bonus mom to many girls across the state, always making them feel like part of the family. Donna was also a member of the Mt. Morris Order of the Eastern Star and Mt. Morris United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed tending her flower garden, painting ceramics, and traveling—whether it was a short drive or a long journey out of state. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, near and far.
Donna is survived by her husband, James Leach; her children, Martin (Sheryl) Leach, Timothy (Marina) Leach, and Dena (Jeffrey) McKinney; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sara Kirkman, and her brother-in-law, Gene (Charlene) Henderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan (2300 Lapeer Road, Flint, MI 48503) or the Job’s Daughters Foundation of Michigan Scholarship Fund (c/o Peter Scholtz, 606 Oxford Oaks Court, Oxford, MI 48371).
An Order of the Eastern Star Memorial Ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 5, at the Mt. Morris Masonic Temple (810 North Street, Mt. Morris, MI).
Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442) on Friday, June 6, at 1:00 p.m.
