Jacobs, Susan “Sue”- of Montrose, age 72, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Hurley Medical Center. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Monday, May 16, 2022, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church- 400 N Saginaw St, Montrose. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 12PM until 8PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, and on Monday at church from 10AM until time of service. A Rosary service will be held at 7PM Sunday night at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place Monday at 2PM in Montrose Twp Cemetery.
Susan was born August 2, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Gary and Doris (Robbins) Dinnan. Sue married the love of her life Robert Jacobs on September 27, 1975. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Sue served as a department president in 2001 for the VFW Auxiliary. Sue worked for the Genesee County Road Commission and retired in 2001. She never met a stranger, just friends she hadn’t met yet. She was a beloved member of PLAV chapter 8. Sue loved playing candy crush, bingo, knitting and crocheting, and visiting the casino. If you knew Sue, she was a firecracker who always had love to give. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by many.
Surviving are: Husband of 47 years, Robert Jacobs, Children: Cathleen (Mark) Persall, Robert (Becky) Jacobs Jr, Clifford Jacobs, Matthew (Tina) Jacobs, Deborah (Ben) Mills, Krista (David) Paschket, her beloved fur child Elmer Jacobs; 14 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren; Siblings: Gary Dinnan, Matthew Dinnan, Charles Dinnan, Sara Hoard, Carole Jean Fejedelem, and Margaret Eisele. She is preceded in passing by Granddaughter, Misty Jacobs, Brothers: Gary, Matthew, Charles; Sister, Sara.
