Rosemary (Rosa, Ro-Ro, and Nana) Peterson was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 15, 1950, daughter of Joseph and Rose (Hoffman) Farkas. She married Paul Peterson on June 9th, 1973 in Davison, Michigan. Throughout her life, Rosemary’s work and interests revolved around doing for others before herself. She was welcoming, loved to entertain, and anyone who met her instantly became a friend. She and Paul loved to entertain, hosting parties for holidays or really any excuse to gather friends and family to share stories and have a good time. This fun-loving spirit transcended to her work, starting her career by owning and operating Quality Catering for 25 years, serving delicious, home-cooked meals and box lunches for parties and businesses small and large, and during this time led kitchen operations for Copeley Hills Convention Center for over 10 years. She “retired” in the early 2000’s before finding her second love, caring for children (aka her babies). She began by working at the Cardinal’s Nest in Davison, then caring for “her babies” out of her home. This allowed her to spread her love and light to so many families, who she treated as her own, and this love was reciprocated.

Rosemary is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Paul Peterson; children, Matthew Peterson (Tina Cheek), and Jennifer and David Farner, and two grandchildren, Gabe and Maddy Farner, for which her world revolved around; sister, Karen and Marion Dufon, sister-in-law Phyllis Farkas, John and Debbie Farkas, numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving family members and friends, including her extended family and grandchildren, the Leach, Gokey, Campbell, and Williams families. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Rose Farkas; and siblings, Joseph Farkas and Alan Farkas. The family would like to thank the staff at McLaren Hospital and Hospice, Stonegate Health Campus, and Cheryl Campbell (in-law) for the loving care that was provided over the past few months.
