Wrobel, Robert P. of Flushing, age 86, died Friday, July 18, 2014, at Medilodge of Montrose. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, at St. Robert Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry Street, Flushing. Fr. Roy Horning will officiate. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Monday at the church until time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Catholic Church or the American Diabetes Association.
Robert was born in Flint, MI on May 27, 1928, the son of Peter and Susan (Boksanski) Wrobel. He marred Irene Hresko at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church on October 15, 1949. She preceded him in death on July 8, 1989. He married Margaret E. (Withrow) Kamm on June 4, 1993. Mr. Wrobel worked and retired from the City of Flint. He was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church.
Robert is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Marilyn and husband Dennis Miller; two step-daughters, Patti and husband Vince Dutko, Shelli Rowe; four step-grandchildren, David and Brennan Rowe, Amy and Jennifer Dutko; great-grandchildren, Kye, Caleb and Marlee. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Michael Miller. |
