Christopher Wayne Coughlin
Age 51 of Chesaning passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 20, 2022 at St. Peter Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at McGeehan Funeral Homes Martin Chapel on Sunday, June 19th from 1:00 to 7:00pm with a Rosary prayed at 7:00pm.
Christopher was born on June 8, 1971 to Mike and Mary (Fisher) Coughlin in Owosso. He graduated from Chesaning High School with the class of 1989.
Chris worked for Air-Gas in Lansing for 20 years. Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting and fishing; he always looked forward to his hunting trips to Sheppard and his fishing trips at the cabin in East Jordan. He also enjoyed bowling and softball, grilling out, hosting bonfires, and listening to country music. Chris was an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines.
Chris is survived by his son, Austin Coughlin (fiance Ashton); daughter, Rhiannon Coughlin; parents, Mike and Mary Coughlin; brothers, Kevin (Jeanne) Coughlin, David (Stacy) Coughlin, and Matt (Karen) Coughlin; nephews, Steve, Joshua, Nick (their mother Marcia), Noah, Evan, Max, and Joey; his good friends, Jim Cooper, Dave Gross, and Chad Maike; godparents, Sandy Schlacter and Steve Coughlin; as well as numerous cousins and other family and friends.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Joe and Katy Coughlin, and Lucille and John Maclennan; aunts and uncles, John Coughlin, Pat and Carolyn Coughlin-Stasa, Gary Butzin, Rose Schneider, and Mary Lou Borton; great-aunt and uncle Everet and Marge Bolinger; and cousins, Tom and Tina Schulz and Jeff Scoobie Schneider.
