GRIFFUS, Wendell Lee – of Davison, MI, age 83, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Monday, March 20, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. The family will receive visitors 11 AM at Allen Funeral Home until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Wounded Warrior Project, in Wendell’s memory.
Wendell was born in Flint, MI on November 10, 1939, son of the late Ernest and Hildred (Baldwin) Griffus. He retired from Dupont in 1993 and from St. John’s church in Davison after many years.
Wendell is survived by 4 children, David (Luann) Griffus, Dale (Karen) Griffus, Belinda (Mike) Pirtle, Wendy (Jon) Odykirk and son-in-law, John Richter; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Delores Corning, sister-in-law, Ruth Griffus; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Hildred Griffus; daughter, Donna Richter, brothers, Darryl and Dallas Griffus.
