ECKERDT, Marion A. - age 85, of Grand Blanc, died Monday, June 13, 2016 at St. Mary of Michigan - Saginaw. A memorial service will be held 12 PM Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor David Galbraith officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM - 12 PM Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the funeral home. Mrs. Eckerdt was born September 25, 1930 in Flint, the daughter of John and Margaret (Cook) Okazin and graduated from Flint Northern High School. She married Alexander Eckerdt, Jr. on February 23, 1952 and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2015. Mrs. Eckerdt was a member of Peace Presbyterian Church. Surviving are: son, Mark Eckerdt of Grand Blanc; and several nieces. She was also preceded in death by: three brothers, John, Carl and Albert Okazin; and two sisters, Katheryn Lorenz and Helen Perkins. |
