LEHR, Paul William – of Genesee Twp., age 80, stepped into heaven to be with his beautiful bride of 55 years for eternity on Thursday, September 05, 2013 at his residence. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon Monday, September 9, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial, with Military Honors under the auspices of Davison American Legion Post #267, will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Saturday and Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. On Monday, visitation will be at the church from 11 AM until the time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Sunday. At 7:30 PM, there will be a Memorial Service under the auspices of the Davison Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree Council #4090 and 4th Degree Assembly #0523. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Paul was born in Flint, MI on July 19, 1933, son of the late Peter and Beulah (Ecker) Lehr. He married Nina Mae Peters on June 30, 1956 and she preceded him in death on April 11, 2012. Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from GM Truck and Bus in 1985 and was an Alternate Committee Man for many years. Paul was a member of the Davison K of C Council #4090. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, bowling and golfing. His family meant everything, especially his grandchildren.
Paul is survived by sons, Gary (Cindy), Bary (Shelly), Larry (Janie); grandchildren, , Mandy (Kerry) Snider, Katie (Brandon) Grimslid, Bary Lehr Jr., Crystal (Randy) Shimmons, Derek (Sara) Lehr, Ashley (Craig) Gagne, Nik (Nikki) Lehr, Danielle (Richard) Holton; great-grandchildren, Dominick, Mercedes, Logan, Layne, Chloe, Adam, Gabby, Madison, Morgan, KJ (Kerry Jr.), Noah, Lauren; siblings, Roger, Pat (Gigi), Sandy Lutze. He was preceded in death by daughters, Theresa and Paula; son, Paul; sister-in-law, Yvonne; brother-in-law, Bill Lutze.
