Age 90, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Heartland Health Care Center-Briarwood. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 424 Kennelworth Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Jevon Q. Catlett, Host Pastor. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Battle will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1:00 PM-8:00 PM Friday, with family present from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM to receive friends. Mr. Battle was honorably discharged from the United States Army. |
