SOCHOR, Robert Frank - Of Linden, age 79, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
Visitation 5-7pm Monday, April 15, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed at 7pm Monday evening at the funeral home. Additional visitation 10am Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at church until the time of the Mass.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 North Adelaide Street, Fenton

Robert was born in Flint on October 29, 1939, the son of the late Frank and Mary (Halik) Sochor. He graduated from St. John Vianney High School, Class of 1957. He then went on to earn a B.A. from Michigan State University in 1962 and a MBA from the University of Michigan in 1969. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Ann MacLean on August 25, 1962. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2018. Robert retired from General Motors after 40 years of service. Bob was an avid golfer, tennis, and card player.
Surviving are children, Patricia (Brian) Arnold of Grand Blanc, Kristin Shick of Grand Blanc, Mark (Sara) Sochor of Charlottesville, VA, Rebecca (Raja) Singh of Lafayette, CA, and Kerri (Claus) Roggensack of Lafayette, CA;
grandchildren, Andreas, Keenan, MacLean, Trevor, Harrison, Braedon, Madeleine, Tyler, Megan, Alina, Mia, Clara, Sisi, and Lenie;
sister, Carole (Mike) Krellwitz; brother-in-law, Malcolm (Sue) MacLean.
He also leaves his two faithful Australian Shephards, Jet and House.
