KONKLE, Julie Ann – of Davison, age 64, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at her residence, after a seven month battle with Pancreatic Cancer, her family by her side. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and A Celebration of Life will be held; information forthcoming. Those who desire may make memorial donations to the Julie Konkle Memorial Trust, PO Box 951 Davison, Michigan 48423. Proceeds to benefit Davison Community Schools in Julie’s name.

Julie was born June 4, 1956 in Flint, Michigan. The daughter of Junious Ray and Helen (Hultquist) Blankenship. She graduated from Kearsley High School with the class of 1974. After high school, she attended Central Michigan University and worked at AC Spark Plug, where she met her husband Skip. They were married in Flint on December 4, 1976. Julie and Skip raised their family in Davison, and once their children reached school age, Julie went back to work. Julie retired after 25 years of helping and touching the lives of so many children, as a secretary at Davison Middle School. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Davison for many years. In her free time, Julie enjoyed reading a good book, gathering with her girlfriends, and attending all the sporting events of her grandchildren.

Surviving are: her husband of 43 years, Skip; daughter, Kari (Tim) Konkle-Szaro; son, Christopher Konkle; grandchildren Garrett and Brody; brother, James R. Blankenship; and many many family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Junious Ray and Helen. A special Thank You to all the nurses and staff of Ascension at Home Hospice for their love and care of Julie during her illness.
