SMITH, Doris G. - Of Burton, age 92, died Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Bella Vita Assisted Living.
Funeral service will be held 11am Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Dr. Jim Miller officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to Old News Boys.
Visitation 1-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Doris was born in Marmaduke, Arkansas on August 26, 1926, the daughter of the late William and Mattie (Jones) Marshall. She was a past member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church where she worked at the Latch Key Program. Doris enjoyed playing Bingo.
Surviving are children, Kaye Smith, Janice Angers, Ronda (Mike) Lehnst, George Goodman (Mary), Kevin (Leisa) Goodman, Patti (Chuck) Hamilton, Alice (Mark) Hancock, Kim (Darrell) Reed and Michael Smith;
many grandchildren, many many great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter;
sister, Betty Sue Borges;
special friends, Dan and Betty Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, son, Raymond, brother, James, sister, Melissa and sons-in-law, Donald Smith and Jim Angers.
