PAUL, Karl Joseph – Of Lakewood, Ohio, formerly of Flushing, age 48, died in Ohio.
Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at St. Michael Byzantine Church 2333 North Elms Road, Flushing, Very Reverend Father David A. Hannes officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to St. Michael Byzantine Church.
Visitation 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Panachida (Wake Service) will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Karl was born in Flint, Michigan on April 2, 1968.
He graduated from Flushing High School in 1986, where he lettered in Football and Basketball.
Karl was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Church where he was an Altar Server.
He was an avid golfer and loved to sing karaoke.
Karl worked in Materials Management at Munson Hospital in Traverse City for 10 years, worked at Morrow County Hospital in Gilead, Ohio and St. John’s Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle and friend.
Surviving are parents, Ken and Jacqueline;
sister, Annette (Steve) Beckman;
twin brother, Ken (Krissy);
brothers, George and John;
niece, Alicia Crane;
many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Alan; grandparents, George and Elizabeth Paul, John and Olga Thomas.
