CARRELS, Pearl E. – Of Davison, age 95, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Regency of Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the
Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Andrew Rogers officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Flint Theatre Organ Club.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 1-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pearl was born in Flint, Michigan on March 31, 1921, the daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Rugy) Bachmann and was a resident of Flint, until moving to Davison in 1964.
On August 3, 1946 she married William Carrels and he preceded her in death in 1983.
She proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
Pearl was a member of the Flint Theatre Organ Club.
Surviving are children, Christine Jones, Randy and wife Rita Carrels;
three grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan and Mark;
four great-grandchildren, Alexia, Braylynne, Lakenzie and Camden;
sister, Norma (Tom) Devine;
several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by daughter, Cheryl Ewing, in 2010 and son-in-law, Roy Jones.
