HUSOCKI, James A., Sr. – Of Flushing, age 80, died Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 12noon Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, 11a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. James was born in Flint, Michigan on July 11, 1935, the son of Steve and Mary Husocki. He married Marlene Ingersoll on September 9, 1995 in Flint. He was a member of Resurrection Reformed Church. Jim enjoyed working on cars, attending auto shows and spending time with his family. He hauled fuel oil and gasoline and supervised several gas company locations. Surviving are his wife, Marlene; 3 children, Jimmy, Jr. and wife Karon of Clio, Michael Husocki of Burton, Doug and wife Melissa Husocki of Mt. Morris; 2 step-children, Sue Ingersoll of Flint, George and wife Jennifer Ingersoll of Kingston, Massachusetts; 8 grandchildren, Johnathan, Samantha, Chase, Derek, Steven, Alicia, Kyla and Liam; brothers and sisters, Joe and wife Grace, John and wife Judy, Janet and husband Fred Haley, Louise and husband Dan McIntyre, George; Carol Shew, Roger and wife Veronica; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marlene Adele; two daughters, Debbie and Paula Husocki; his siblings, Steve, Ruth Ann, Liz and Mary.
