BARRETT, Jimmie – Of Grand Blanc, age 78, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hospice.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Barrett was born in Hattieville, Arkansas on October 25, 1935,
son of the late J.D. and Ila (Golden) Barrett.
On February 16, 1987 he married Betty in Las Vegas.
He was a Mason, Shriner and enjoyed golfing.
Mr. Barrett retired from GM in 1987.
Surviving are wife, Betty;
children, Mark and wife Kristin Barrett,
Diane and husband Frank Hartman,
Denise Little and Debbie Lintz;
step-children, Phyllis Covey and Rene' Sturk,
Mary and husband Dennis Shute;
9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores Barrett.
