DOYLE, Edward “Ted-Ed” – of Davison, age 80, passed away September 6, 2016 at his residence. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 PM Monday, September 12, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and one hour prior to the Mass on Monday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ancient Order of the Hibernians in America.
Edward was born in Ireland on October 7, 1935, son of the late John and Elizabeth (Faulkner) Doyle. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Edward retired from GM after 39 years of service. He was a member of the Hybernians and Irish Father of the Year for 2016. Edward loved flowers and sitting by his Irish pond.
Edward is survived by his significant other of 28 years, Kathleen Humphries; children, Ken (Karen) Doyle, Debbie (Kevin) Lince, Noel Doyle, Denise (Lou) Clothier-Dortch, Dina Doyle, Danielle (BJ) Cokley, Kim Cox, Rick (Ashley) Humphries; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 10 siblings.
