McNEW, Randy Lyle – of Montrose, age 64, died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 9, 2019 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 9, 2018 from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Memorial contributions can be made to the Charity of Choice.
Randy was born June 15, 1954 to the late George and Lucille (Battles) McNew. He grew up in Swartz Creek and graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1972. On July 21, 2000 he married Lucinda Gonzalez. Prior to his retirement in 2006 he worked for GM with 30 years of service. Randy was a member of the Montrose Eagles Aerie # 4090 and the Flushing Moose Lodge # 1437. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and watching wildlife. Randy also liked to spend time with family and friends.
Surviving are: Wife, Lucinda; Children, Nicole (Alan) Jones, Jessica McNew-Prchal, Amber (Randy) Magrane, David (Emilie) Magrane; Grandchildren, Michael Hildebrandt II, Elliot Magrane, Atlas Magrane; Step Mother, Bonnie McNew; Siblings, Ron (Sharon) McNew, Rick (Jo) McNew, Russ McNew, Sue (Mike) Richie; several nieces and nephews.
