ALVORD, Charles N. - Of Grand Blanc, age 88, died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Central Church of the Nazarene G-1261 West Bristol Road, Flint,
Pastor Dave Hintz and Pastor Jason Crumb co-officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation 4-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Mr. Alvord will be at the church on Saturday at 12 Noon.
Charles was born in Millington, Michigan on November 11, 1928. He was employed with General Motors Fisher Body 1 for 34 years. Charles was a very active member of Central Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are children, Debbie (John) Minar, Brian (Abby) Alvord, Stephen (Rosemaria) Alvord, Philip (Janet) Alvord and Daniel Alvord;
16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine on December 4, 2016.
