SKELLETT, Larry D. - Of Clio, age 44, Larry had a tremendous faith in God and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at New Covenant Free Methodist Church, 13176 North Linden Road in Clio, Reverend Phil Owen and Reverend Larry Maddox officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for a trust fund for his sons. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday all at the church. Larry married Rhonda Smith on April 9, 2005. He was a member of Frankemuth Archery Club and volunteered for Clio Soccer AYSO Organization. He was a member of New Covenant Free Methodist Church, where he a coach for the Men's Softball League and the Children's Ministries. He was employed by Brose North America. Surviving are his wife, Rhonda; sons, Logan and Braydan; mother, Yvonne Skellett of Clio; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Belva Smith of Birch Run; sister, Cindy Hollister of Sterling Heights, Renea Smith of Clio, Robin Smith of Clio; brothers, Danny and wife Karen Skellett of Clio, Eddie Skellett of Clio, Erric and wife Erica Smith of Clio, Warren and wife Heidi Smith of Birch Run; special nieces and nephews, Nicole Skellett, April, Kayla and Adam Smith and Chloe McMillin. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Skellett. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Brose North America; Maggie, Rich, Curtis and Luke for their compassion and support; pastor and friend, Phil Owen, who was always at Larry's side these past weeks.
