DURHAM, Kay L. – of Clio, age 71, died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Wellbridge in Grand Blanc. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service in honor of Kay will be held 12PM, Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 12PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
Kay was born October 16, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to the late Harry and Leona (Mickels) Suszek. She graduated from Northwester High School in 1966. Kay married Gary Durham on September 13, 1985 in Louisville, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2018. Kay retired from the Michigan Eye Institute in Flint in January of 2019 after 27 years of service. She enjoyed singing karaoke and going to the casino. In Kays younger years, she enjoyed doing crafts.
Surviving are: Children: Jeff (Tami) Waggoner, Jim (Colleen) Waggoner, and Jill Waggoner; Grandchildren: Nicholas (Lauren) Waggoner, Adam Waggoner, Taylor Waggoner, and Morgan Waggoner; Brother, Paul (Debbie) Susek; Sisters: Janice Stewart, Debra Casabon and many nieces and nephews.
