Arthur John “AJ” Scott, age 69, of Columbiaville died March 3, 2016 at McLaren-Lapeer surrounded by his loving family.
John was born June 23, 1946 in Lapeer, the son of the late Arthur and Claire Scott. He served his country honorably in U.S. Army during Vietnam and retired from General Motors after 42 years. He married Mary E. Boyle on March 4, 1977. John participated in the Mackinaw Races for many years and was an avid model railroader and flew RC planes. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife Mary,
Children: Amanda ( Michael Greenwald ) Scott, Michael ( Clarice ) Acord, Christopher ( Angela ) Acord, and 6 grandsons: Michael, Brenden, Curtis, Conor, Aidan, Kahla, cousins: Suzie Scott and Thom Scott.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friend may visit 10:30AM till time of service. Pastor Grant Lobb officiating. John’s cremains will be buried in Wood Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials in memory of John may be made to Wounded Warriors. |
